Rope-A-Dope
ROPE-A-DOPE is a comedic short film about a janitor forced to defend his honor against an over-privileged high school bully.
The short’s world premiere was at the 2020 Just for Laughs NorthWest Festival in Vancouver, B.C., and its US premiere was the 2020 RiverRun Festival.
It was subsequently named an official selection at the 2020 Chicago Comedy Film Festival, 2020 SENE Film Festival and 2021 Independent Film Festival Boston.
The cast is led by Corey Rodrigues, who is one of the fastest-rising comedians in America. In the last two years, he has appeared on TBS’ Conan, released a half-hour comedy special on EPIX, and his stand-up clips have racked up over 30 million views. Corey has also won the 2017 Big Sky Comedy Festival, The Funniest Comic in New England, and has been featured on Laughs on FOX and truTV.
